PROVINCIAL NOMINATION PROGRAMS

Provinces and territories can recruit candidates from the programs running by their provincial departments and also from the Express Entry pool by providing candidates with provincial nomination certificate to meet the needs of their local labour market.
Candidate gets 600 points in Express entry CRS score with the Provincial nominee certificate which boost their chance to get an ITA for permanent residency from federal government.This program is for workers who:

  • have the skills, education and work experience to contribute to the economy of a specific province or territory
  • want to live in that province, and
  • want to become permanent residents of Canada.

Each province and territory(except Quebec) has its own “streams”and requirements. Provinces and territories may target:

students   ♦   business people   ♦   skilled workers   ♦   semi-skilled workers

Each Province has their own criteria according to which they select their candidate for nomination. The criteria by province and territory vary and can change without notice. Those provinces are:
